It has been quite a journey, both figuratively and literally, to arrive at this moment. As an author, I have always sought to reflect the experiences and perspectives of my people, to explore the complex tapestry of African diaspora and identity. Today, I am excited to announce a new chapter in my online presence and storytelling journey. I am rebranding from “TheeDigitalNomad” to “The Digital Black Nomad.” Allow me to share with you the reasoning behind this change and what you can expect from this exciting transition.
The Path to Rediscovery
For those who have followed my digital journey thus far, you may be wondering why this shift in branding. To answer that, let me take you back to my travels, my moments of introspection on foreign shores, and my interactions with people from all walks of life.
As a nomad, I’ve had the privilege of wandering through the diverse landscapes of this world, embracing new cultures and soaking in the beauty of different traditions. With each journey, I have discovered that my truest connection lies in the experiences and stories of black people who traverse the globe, seeking to understand and appreciate the world from their unique vantage points. It became evident that my own experiences as a black traveler held a powerful resonance within this community.

In the age of digital media, it has never been easier to connect with individuals from all corners of the world. The Digital Black Nomad will serve as a platform where black travelers can find a reflection of themselves in my experiences, a source of inspiration, and a place to share their own stories. Whether you are an intrepid explorer, a dreamer yearning to see the world, or someone who simply wishes to engage with narratives that celebrate the richness of black culture and the nomadic spirit, this space is for you.
Launching Without a Map
Much like the way I’ve approached my travels – stepping into a new country with little research and staying for months to truly immerse myself – I am launching The Digital Black Nomad without a fully mapped-out plan. My intention is to embrace the spontaneity, curiosity, and adaptability that have guided my journeys. In doing so, I hope to create an authentic space where genuine connections are forged and where we can collectively learn and grow.
